OAR developed RTEMS as well as either implemented or consulted on most of the RTEMS ports to new architectures. Although most of the Board Support Packages (BSPs) in the current RTEMS source were contributed by others, OAR continues to be the premier contributor and maintainer of BSPs.

With over thirty years of corporate history in embedded systems, OAR has developed device drivers and BSPs for a variety of operating systems, real-time and non-real-time, in addition to RTEMS.
